Body of drowned UIAM student found

KUANTAN: The body of law student Mohd Faizal Yusri, 23, who drowned at Air Terjun Lata Hammer in Bentong near here yesterday was found at 10am today.
Deputy director of the Pahang Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Mohd Sani Harul said Mohd Faizal's body was found about five metres from where he was last spotted.
"The fire department's divers' team found his body at a depth of 12 feet after the search-and-rescue operations resumed this morning," he told reporters here today.
Mohd Faizal from Pendang, Kedah, was believed to have drowned at about 11.30am yesterday when he went to the waterfalls with eight friends.
Mohd Sani said four of the friends were also said to be in difficulties, but were rescued by other picnickers there. Mohd Faizal, a student at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Gombak, was swept away by the current. — Bernama
