At the event, Ahmad Zahid also handed over a mock cheque for RM1 million to Masjid Iktikaf Kampung Atas Pinggir chairman Arifin Idris.
Ahmad Zahid said the federal government helmed by the Barisan Nasional (BN) had never criticised Kelantan even though it was ruled by the opposition since 28 years ago.
He said BN had accepted the situation and had never intended to block any development in the state, especially under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
But at the same time, he said the people of Kelantan should be grateful and thankful for all the development benefits being undertaken through various federal allocations.
"The people have to choose the people who give thanks and, as such, we feel the winds of change have come. Now is the time for us to take over Kelantan," he added. — Bernama
