Venues for Perak Sukma will be ready before march-end

PARIT BUNTAR: All venues for the 19th Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Perak will be ready before the end of next month, according to Perak State Secretary Datuk Seri Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan.
Currently the venues, including the Perak Stadium, swimming complex, shooting range and some other facilities were at the finishing stages.
On the upgrading works carried out at the Perak Stadium, he said the venue now had extra two sets of floodlights, new tracks and seats, all of which are expected to be completed next month.
"Hence, we hope the Perak Stadium will be utilised for the Super League football match on April 3 while the shooting range will be completed next month.
"We hope with the completion of the upgrading works, it will enable Perak athletes to practise at the venue," he told a press conference, after officiating the closing ceremony of the Kerian district's Cub Scouts den chief and patrol leaders' course at the Kerian District Education Office, here today.
A total of 214 primary and secondary school students in the Kerian district participated in the three-day course, which commenced last Friday. — Bernama
