Polices by BN govt give M'sia strong foundation: Najib

PORT DICKSON: Various policies implemented by the Barisan Nasional (BN) government have proven capable of giving Malaysia a strong foundation towards bringing the country to greater heights as aspired by the people, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
He said this was evident with foreign investors choosing Malaysia as the place to expand their business, especially for the ASEAN market.
"I was just done with a function with Groupe PSA from France before coming here. PSA is the owner of the Peugeot brand. At the event, Naza Group signed a deal with PSA where PSA has chosen Gurun, Kedah, as its manufacturing hub to produce its cars for the ASEAN market.
"I asked its executive vice-president, why Malaysia. He said it was because he was confident with the policies of our government," said Najib at a Leader With The People session at Dataran Kompleks Pentadbiran Daerah Port Dickson here today.
Besides PSA, Najib said, SK Group from South Korea was also keen to make Malaysia its business hub for the ASEAN region.
