(Video) Crane falls, injures worker and brings traffic to crawl

AMPANG JAYA: A construction worker was injured after he was hit by the boom of a crane. The crane fell across the highway at Dataran Ukay near Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) here today.
A spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department said the worker was working at a construction site when he was hit by the falling crane in the 10.20am incident.
"The victim was identified as Azri Yahya, a local in his 40's," he said.
He said the incident occurred when a moving crawler crane was lifting a casing pile and lost its balance.
"The boom of the crane fell across the second and third lane of the MMR2 highway heading towards Ampang," he added.
The incident resulted in a massive traffic snarl.
The victim suffered injuries around his waist and is currently warded in Ampang Hospital.
