(Video) Shocking daylight snatch theft

KOTA BARU: A video of a man allegedly snatching a woman's handbag in Jalan Hamzah in Kota Baru, Kelantan, has gone viral on social media.
A 72-year-old woman from Pengalan Chepa here was attacked and robbed by two men earlier today. One man, clad in a black t-shirt, approached and attacked her from behind. In the process of pulling the handbag from her, the victim fell and hit her head.
The assailant then got in the car and was driven away by a suspected accomplice.
After the robbers drove away she attempted to stand up, only to fall into the drain beneath her.
The two minute long video, recorded at 12.15pm, from by a nearby closed circuit television (CCTV) camera, captured not just the sudden attack and escape of her assailants, but also the inaction of car drivers that apparently did not notice the victim lying on the ground.
Notably a motorcyclist came onto the scene, but did not offer any assistance, at least according to the video.
The woman suffered bruises on her head and is currently warded at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II.
Following the incident, police reportedly detained two men, aged 27 and 33, in Kota Baru. One of the men possesses two drug offences and a robbery record.
