Kuwait-Malaysia relations special, have advantages: Ambassador

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwait's Ambassador to Malaysia, Saad Abdullah Al-Asousi has described the relations between Kuwait and Malaysia, that have existed for the past 47 years, as special and with many advantages.
"This relationship will continue. We will continue to work with the Malaysian government in enhancing bilateral cooperation," he said when met at 57th Kuwait National Day and 27th Kuwait Liberation Day celebration at a hotel here, on Monday.
Over 1,000 guests were served with a variety of Arabic and local delicacies including mandy rice, shawarma (kebab) and sweets.
Al-Sousi thanked the Malaysian government for its involvement and contribution at the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq (Kicri) in Kuwait City recently.
On Feb 15, Malaysia pledged to contribute US$100,000 for the reconstruction of Iraq.
Also present were Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim and Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican. — Bernama
