Weekend additional Sungai Buloh-Ipoh ETS train halted

KUALA LUMPUR: The additional electric train service (ETS) during weekends for the Sungai Buloh-Ipoh-Sungai Buloh route has been halted.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), in a statement here today, said the additional service was terminated to give way for upgrading work of the system and infrastructure for the Klang Valley Double Track (KVDT) project, during which only one platform could be used at the Sungai Buloh Station.
KTMB said the move in halting the addition service would minimise interruption to the train operation, hence enabling passengers to reach their destinations faster.
"The public can still travel using the ETS service for the route between KL Sentral and Ipoh, vice versa , where there are 14 services available daily," it said.
For further inquiries on the ETS schedule, the public are advised to surf KTMB website at www.ktmb.com.my or contact its call center at 03-2267 1200. — Bernama
