Johor Sultan attends 'Chap Goh Mei' celebration

JOHOR BARU: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, today attended the 'Chap Goh Mei' celebration organised by the Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Group (IWHG) at the Danga Convention Centre here that was attended by about 3,000 people.
The sultan arrived at 11.20 am and was welcomed by IWHG executive vice-chairman Tan Sri Lim Kang Ho and Johor Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism Committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong.
Also present were Johor Baru mayor Amran A Rahman and Johor Police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd.
Sultan Ibrahim, along with Lim, Tee and other VIPs, tossed the 'Yee Sang' at the event, which had traditional performances by guest artistes and a drum performance. — Bernama
