No Malaysian injured in Egypt train collision

PUTRAJAYA: No Malaysian was injured in Wednesday's passenger train collision at Beheira in Egypt, according to Wisma Putra.
In a statement today, it said Malaysians who required consular assistance or wished to obtain further information could contact the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo at +20237610013, +2012 00276388 or through email at mwcairo@kln.gov.my.
According to media reports, the passenger train collided with a freight train near the Kom Hamada station in the northern Beheira Governorate which is located about 164km from Cairo.
At least 15 people were killed and 40 others reportedly injured in the collision.
Wisma Putra said the Malaysian Government conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. — Bernama
