Pakistani fined for injuring girlfriend's ex-husband with steering wheel lock

    KUALA LUMPUR: A Pakistani forklift driver was fined RM1,500 in default six months' jail by the Ampang Magistrate's Court yesterday, for injuring his girlfriend's ex-husband, also a Pakistani, with a steering wheel lock.
    Magistrate Mohamad Firdaus Sadina Ali sentenced Syed Faiz Ahmed Shah, 28, when he pleaded guilty to intentionally injuring Ahmed Rana Safeer, 25.
    The incident occurred at Jalan Pandan Cahaya 2/3A, Taman Cahaya, Hulu Langat here at 10pm on Feb 21.
    According to the facts of the case, on the day of the incident, Ahmed Rana was waiting for his ex-wife to send their child to him when she arrived in a car with boyfriend, Syed Faiz.
    At that juncture, Syed Faiz suddenly alighted from the car and scolded Ahmed Rana before hitting him with a steering wheel lock. — Bernama
