Chinese community can expect nothing from DAP: Liow

KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai (pix) has reminded the Chinese community not to put their hopes on the DAP to champion their rights.
"DAP changes its face instantly and fast. This is a party without principles which traded the people's trust for power and personal agendas," he told a press conference after the 69th MCA anniversary celebrations here today.
Also present were MCA deputy president, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, MCA secretary-general Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan, party veterans and 2,500 delegates, and Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian.
Liow said MCA was confident that support from the people, not just the Chinese community, was increasing due to the close collaboration with other Barisan Nasional component parties. — Bernama
