KUALA LUMPUR: Online healthcare company, 'Booking Doctor' or BookDoc has a new partner in Siloam Hospital Group, Indonesia's largest healthcare group with 24 hospitals.
BookDoc will benefit from working with one of the most reputable names in Indonesia, while Siloam will gain access to BookDoc's expanding network of patients across the region.
BookDoc founder and chief executive officer, Datuk Chevy Beh said this marked their official entry into Indonesia, which is their fifth market in the region.
"We are indeed honoured to be given the opportunity to work with Siloam Hospital Group, the leading healthcare group in Indonesia. Since the Hamami Family invested into BookDoc last year, we have been actively seeking out business partners to replicate and adapt our business model to suit the largest economy in South-East Asia," he said.
The Hamami Family is ranked one of the richest in Indonesia by Forbes, and is now a strategic investor of BookDoc.
Meanwhile, Siloam chief financial officer, Budi Legowo said: "Siloam is excited to enter into this new partnership with BookDoc. Through it, we will be able to expand the reach and scale of both our platforms while providing world-class healthcare access for all local Indonesians and visitors abroad."
Since establishing itself in October 2015, BookDoc is now operating in four countries, namely Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand, and 17 cities.
The company has established an integrated online system for local and overseas health travellers. The ecosystem allows users to search and book healthcare professionals anytime and anywhere.
BookDoc can be downloaded for free from Apple App Store (for iOS) and Google Play Store (for Android). — Bernama
