Scheduled water disruption in George Town on Saturday

GEORGE TOWN: Consumers in areas from Jalan Sungai Dua to Jalan Pekaka 1 here will be affected by the 12-hour water supply disruption scheduled for Saturday.
Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP) chief executive officer Datuk Ir Jaseni Maidinsa said the disruption would begin at 9am to 9pm.
"The disruption is due to water pipe diversion work in Jalan Sungai Dua (near the Golden Phoenix Restaurant) scheduled to be carried out on Saturday," he said in a statement here today.
Among the areas to be affected are Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Jalan Sungai Dua, Lintang Pekaka 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, Tesco Extra Sungai Dua, Lengkok Pekaka, Solok Pekaka 1 and 2, Lorong Sungai Dua and Lebuh Pekaka 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Also Lengkok Sungai Dua, Desa Permai Indah, Persiaran Sungai Dua, Lorong Helang 1, 2 and 3, Jalan Murai, Jalan Helang, Medan Murai 1, 2 and 3; Jalan Merak, Taman Pekaka, Lintang Merak, Jalan Pekaka 1 and 2, Lorong Merak 1 and 2, as well as Lorong Pekaka 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Jaseni also advised consumers to save sufficient amount of water for their consumption during the period.
