Honor partners with Shopee to launch the 9 Lite

IN conjunction with their fourth year in the Malaysian market, honor launched their latest entry-level device and announced their partnership with Shopee. The newly introduced honor 9 Lite features two front and rear cameras, a 5.65in full high definition plus 2:1 ratio display, and Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI8.0 operating system and interface.
The main draw of the honor 9 Lite is its price of RM749. This is especially attractive considering that it shares many similarities with the Huawei Nova 2i.
Both phones run on the same Kirin 659 processor and have almost the same four camera configurations, storage, memory, and display.
Starting off with the camera, the honor 9 lite packs a main 13MP sensor and a secondary 2MP depth sensor on the front and the back of the phone. However, only the rear camera is paired with a flash.
Coupled with its Huawei made processor is 3GB of memory and 32GB of expandable storage. Powering it is a 3000mAh battery.
The honor 9 Lite looks beautiful and it comes in blue and grey. The Chinese phone maker claims that the phone is adored with a glass front and back, and it certainly shines brilliantly without a case. Nevertheless, its weight makes it feel like it is made of plastic or polycarbonate instead.
When we tried the camera at the event, in an indoor situation, the resulting pictures look to be a class above the phones price range. The interface also seems smooth and slick and what is expected from a mid-range phone.
The biggest news at the event, however, is the upcoming Shocking Sale on Shopee. On March 9 at 9 am, the Honor 9 Lite will go on sale exclusively on the online and mobile shopping site for RM699.
