MISC confirms giving full support to MACC over alleged bribery

    PETALING JAYA: MISC Bhd, which is currently being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over allegations of power abuse and corruption, confirmed that it has been giving its fullest support and cooperation to MACC.
    In a statement today, the government-linked maritime company said the group has a zero tolerance policy against any form of bribery or corruption by its employees, subsidiaries or any persons or companies acting for MISC or on its behalf.
    The group also stressed that the company adheres to the MISC Group Code of Conduct and Business Ethics as well as its Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy & Guidelines.
    "MISC is fully committed to the highest standards of integrity and accountability throughout our businesses and operations.
    "MISC will continue to extend our full support and cooperation to MACC wherever necessary," it added.
    At 2.36pm, the group's share price slipped three sen or 0.44% to RM6.85 with some 109,600 shares changing hands.
