JKP senior officer released on MACC bail

GEORGE TOWN: A senior officer at a federal government agency, JKP Sdn Bhd, who was previously remanded in connection with awarding of several projects involving the agency, was released on Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) bail today.
Magistrate's Court assistant registrar Muhammad Azam Md Eusoff allowed the 47-year-old man to be released on a RM30,000 bail.
On Saturday, he was remanded for five days to facilitate investigations under Section 15 of the MACC Act 1997.
On Monday, an engineering company director who was remanded in connection with the same case was also released on MACC bail. — Bernama
