KUALA LUMPUR: Those planning to spend their holidays domestically this year can put Desaru Coast and Legoland Malaysia Resort in their list as special offers for the theme parks will be available during the upcoming Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair 2018.
This follows an announcement by Matta to name both destinations as the favourite theme parks for the three-day fair to be held from March 16 at Putra World Trade Centre.
In a press conference at Wisma Matta, Matta chief executive officer Phua Tai Neng said the Tourism Performance Report from January to September last year showed that 19.6% of tourists were engaged in visiting theme parks in Malaysia.
"Matta believes such a collaboration will further boost tourist arrivals, both local and foreign visitors," he said.
The Desaru Coast booth at the fair will be offering exclusive ticket sales for its soon-to-be launched Desaru Coast Adventure Park and the Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.
Visitors to the fair will be able to get one free ticket to the water park with the purchase of tickets for two adults.
Apart from that, the water park will also be offering an exclusive deal of buy three and get free one annual pass promo for Johoreans.
Visitors can also receive an additional RM50 voucher with every purchase of a RM300 cash voucher, which can be used at the Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.
For Legoland Malaysia Resort, visitors to its booth should not miss the opportunity to purchase the annual pass to the park at a price of RM199, which is equivalent to a normal day ticket price.
Each purchase of the annual pass will also put the pass holders in the running to win a car.
Furthermore, Legoland will also be offering a 45% discount on its super value day tickets with a daily pass as low as RM110 up for grabs.
Matta Fair is open from 10am to 9pm.
Admission is RM4 per person and free for children below the age of 12.
