Video of policewoman attacking two men goes viral

PETALING JAYA: Police said it has commenced investigations on a video that showed an volunteer policewoman assaulting two men following an argument over a personal matter at a restaurant in Mantin on Saturday.
The video which went viral in the social media on Monday showed the policewoman in who was in plain-clothes attacking a man who wore a turban and was handcuffed on one hand.
The woman who is a member of the police volunteer reserve (PVR) and is attached to the Seremban district police headquarters then turns to another youth and slaps him several times as shocked patrons present at the restaurant look on.
Both the men are said to be Indian nationals.
The assault by her continued on the handcuffed man and entire exchange of conversation between both parties was in Punjabi.
A man carrying a baby and several other men who were present during the commotion were also captured in the video.
Nilai deputy police chief DSP Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei when contacted by theSun said a police report was lodged by the policewoman today and investigations are ongoing. He declined to comment further.
However, sources revealed that the incident occurred at about 3pm after two foreigners sought help from the policewoman after another foreigner allegedly took their passports and cash.
The policewoman confronted the man, who was said to be an agent who provided visa renewal services and demanded that he return the passports and cash of the two foreigners.
The agent allegedly insulted the policewoman who then reacted by assaulting him and another man.
