1,525 Taman Perbadanan Islam houses for Johor by 2020

ISKANDAR PUTERI: PIJ Holdings is planning to build 1,525 units of houses through its Taman Perbadanan Islam (TPI) projects in the state by 2020.
Chairman of the state Housing and Local Government Committee Datuk Md Jais Sarday said this involves 234 units in Package A, 337 in Package B and 954 Johor Affordable Houses (RMMJ).
"TPI is part of the Johor state government's strategy and approach to help the low and middle income people own homes," he said.
"The houses in Package A are worth RM42,000, Package B (RM80,000) and RMMJ (RM150,000). The houses will be built by PIJ Holdings Sdn Bhd which is a subsidiary company of the state government," he said.
Md Jais was replying to a question from Dr Mohamad Taslim (PAS-Maharani) who asked about the progress made by TPI on its construction work at the Johor State Assembly sitting in Kota Iskandar, here today.
Md Jais said at present the progress of the TPI project in Jalan Datin Halimah, Johor Baru was 97% completed with the construction of 71 units of RMMJ, while the Certificate of Completion and Compliance is expected to be obtained next month.
He said the TPI Larkin project involving the construction of 121 units of RMMJ was at 13% completion and due to be ready by December while TPI Stulang Baru with 126 units of houses in Package A, 99 units in Package B and 108 units RMMJ are at 22% and due to be ready by December.
He added that the permit to plan for TPI Rengit near Batu Pahat with the construction of 58 RMMJ units had been obtained by the Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) while plans for land and building works had been submitted for approval.
Md Jais also said this year PIJ Holdings will continue with construction work in two areas, namely TPI Teluk Permata (Teluk Jawa) in Masai with 106 RMMJ units this month and TPI Maharani, Muar with 92 RMMJ units, 136 Package B units, 90 Package A units and 10 low-cost shop units.
"PIJ Holdings is in the process of obtaining a planning permit from the Muar Municipal Council, while building work is expected to begin this year," he added. — Bernama
