Video of man assaulting wife at workplace goes viral (Updated)

    KLANG: Police are tracking a man and his accomplice after a woman was brutally beaten and abducted by her husband at Jalan Seruling 59, Taman Klang Jaya here today.
    A two-minute-video of the incident went viral on social media.
    It is believed one of the men was the woman's husband and the attack was triggered due to jealousy.
    In the 9am incident, the video showed a blue car pulling up in front of the gate of the factory where the woman works. A man then got out of the car while another man grabbed the victim and forced her into the car.
    The 42-year-old woman was seen fighting back but was overpowered by the man as he repeatedly hit the woman with a blunt object.
    Several people also witnessed the beating and the woman screaming frantically for help.
    The second man, who was seen holding a parang, then opened the front passenger seat door of the car and pushed the victim into the vehicle.
    The two, then bundled the woman into the car as she was still heard screaming for help.
    The man on the outside then got into the driver's seat of the car and drove off from the factory.
    The video of the incident that went viral was followed by a message from netizens – "This is not a film shooting. Who has the information about this incident? It is believed that the incident was triggered due to a quarrel between husband and wife. The suspects' mugshots are being circulated. The person who kidnapped her was an Indian from Banting with car plate number BFV 8384."
    South Klang district police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli confirmed that police had received a police report on the incident from the couple's 13 years-old daughter and investigations are currently underway.
    "Initial investigations suggest the husband attacked his wife as he suspected that she was having an affair with another man,
    "The victim is currently being treated in the Red Zone. She suffered injuries on her back, both hands and legs," added Shamsul Amar.
    The woman has since been admitted in a hospital. However, the details on how she was sent to the hospital are still unclear.
    The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
