Bribery: Policeman remanded for seven days

SEREMBAN: A police lance corporal has been remanded for seven days from today to facilitate investigation into a bribery case.
The remand order was issued by sessions court assistant registrar Nurul Balqis Zunaidi following application from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The 36-year-old policeman was arrested in Tampin Square, Tampin, at 2 pm yesterday for allegedly taking RM200 as an inducement to supply cigarettes to a detainee at the Tampin Police Station lock-up between March 2 and 6. — Bernama
