Companies led by able leaders can bring huge impact to people

JELI: The people should be grateful that the country has excellent companies that are managed by able leaders and corporate figures, said International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
Mustapa, who is also Jeli Member of Parliament, said a country and companies that are being helmed by great leaders could bring huge impact to the people in various aspects.
Referring to the tremendous contribution of Khazanah Nasional Berhad in the country's economic development, he said it had managed the country's assets very well.
"Khazanah Nasional has managed the country's assets with excellence providing profits to the national economy, either in terms of employment, graduate training, education and other initiatives ," he told reporters after officiating the 'Hasanah Bersama Rakyat' programme at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Jeli campus here today.
On the programme, he said, 20 agencies and companies under Khazanah Nasional were involved in the programme to provide information to the people on its role and contribution to the country's economic development.
Mustapa said Khazanah Nasional had also created tens of thousands of jobs in various sectors in the agencies and companies under its management.
Hence, he said with the presence of more than 10,000 visitors to the programme, the objective of organising it had been attained.
The programme which was enlivened with various sports competitions and dikir barat performances by the people in Jeli parliamentary constituency, was held in collaboration with UMK, Yayasan Hasanah, Yayasan Khazanah, Khazanah Research Institute, Think City and other partners. — Bernama
