Pakatan Harapan manifesto, an old story: Abang Johari

KUCHING: The manifesto announced by the Pakatan Harapan is something that has been recycled, said Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
He said it was a normal thing for the opposition when the general election was approaching and their manifesto was an "old story".
"Previously when he (Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) was prime minister for 22 years, what are the rights accorded to Sarawak, there was nothing. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is the one who gave us a lot," said Abang Johari, who is also Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman.
He said this when asked to comment on the Pakatan Harapan manifesto after opening the Sarawak Career & Training Fair (SCaT Fair 2018) at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here today.
Among the thrusts of the Pakatan Harapan manfesto launched in conjunction with the 14th General Election (GE14) in Shah Alam on Thursday, was to set up a special committee to discuss issues relating to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 with the federal government.
In the manifesto, Pakatan Harapan would undertake devolution of powers to Sarawak and Sabah if the loose opposition pact forms the government. — Bernama
