Mahathir is father of fake news, says Nur Jazlan

JOHOR BARU: Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed has called former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad the father of fake news.
He said this today when commenting on the statement by the chairman of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) that the Registrar of Societies (RoS) was unfair and biased to the PPBM on the issue of registration.
Nur Jazlan said, Mahathir had used his power as prime minister and home minister to influence the RoS to make a favourable decision for Umno when it was declared as an illegal party 30 years ago.
"We are not like him, we gave RoS a free hand to deal with PPBM," he said.
