KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a female Myanmar national, believed murdered, was found with head and hand injuries at her house in Pandan Indah here yesterday.
Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Hamzah Alias said the body of the victim, in her 40s, was discovered by her male friend about 2.30pm before he alerted the police.
"The victim's friend went to her house after she was un-contactable. (Upon arrival,) he pried open the front door grill after he saw that the door was left ajar and hearing the victim's four-year-old son was crying.
"The victim was found lying in bed with bruised face and hands, while there were traces of blood on the mattress," he said in a statement here today.
Hamzah said police detained a 26-year-old Myanmar man on the same day and was being remanded for seven days until Monday to assist in the investigation. — Bernama
