Former supervisor claims trial to three charges involving over RM 15, 000

KUALA LUMPUR: A former supervisor at an air-conditioning repair and service company was charged at the Sessions Court here today with three counts of criminal breach of trust involving over RM15,000 belonging to her employer, last year.
Lau Mee Ching ,49, however, pleaded not guilty after the charges were read to her before Judge Datuk Habibah Mohamed Yusof.
The woman, as the company's supervisor entrusted with six invoices totalling RM15,989.45 paid in total by the company's client, Jensen Car Air-Conditioned Service, was alleged to have committed the offences when she did not hand over the money to her employer Aw Soon Loy, 47 to be deposited into the company's bank account.
She allegedly committed the offence at Syarikat Sinhert AC Parts Sdn Bhd in Jalan Rimbunan Raya, Laman Rimbunan Kepong, here between Feb 28 and April 19, 2017.
The charge, under Section 408 of the Penal Code, carries a maximum jail term of 14 years with whipping or fine, if convicted.
The court allowed the accused bail of RM10,000 in one surety for all charges and set March 29 for remention. Deputy public prosecutor Nurul Khairiyah Samsudin prosecuted, while Lau was unrepresented. — Bernama
