Cops seize RM651,000 in drugs from lab behind Hindu temple

IPOH: Police busted a drug laboratory located behind a Hindu temple in Silibin, here, on Sunday and arrested two men aged 32 and 50.
They believed the duo have been operating the laboratory for the last three months.
Ipoh City police chief ACP Mohd Ali Tamby said investigation revealed that the 32-year-old suspect had four criminal records and tested positive for methamphetamine.
"We also seized 9.3kg of liquid methamphetamine worth RM651,000 in the 4.30pm raid," he told reporters today.
It is learnt the men would only process the drugs upon receiving an order.
They have been remanded for six days from Monday to facilitate investigation under Section 39(B) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
