Teens nabbed over alleged bullying of disabled person

JOHOR BARU: Police detained two teenagers believed to be involved in the bullying case of a disabled youth in Taman Sri Kluang here yesterday.
Kluang police chief ACP Mohamad Laham said the suspects, both aged 18, were picked up at 11pm following a police report lodged by the father's victim, Md Yusof Zaini, 51.
"After watching a video footage showing his son, Mohamad Nor Akmal, 20, being bullied, Md Yusof filed a police report. The victim who suffered from a learning disability also told him that the suspects had stolen his samsung mobile phone, RM20 cash and sling bag," he said in a statement here today.
The duo who were detained at Taman Gunung Lambak, near Kluang, tested positive for methamphetamine. They were remanded for four days since yesterday.
Yesterday, a video footage of the assault which had gone viral on the social media showed the victim being bullied by two individuals using a stick at a playground. — Bernama
