Accident brings traffic to a crawl on Penang Bridge

GEORGE TOWN: Barely a week after two accidents on Penang Bridge involving a tip truck and a motorcycle with another heavy vehicle, a 23-year-old car driver is now in critical condition after his car collided with a motorcyclist causing the vehicle to hit the bridge barrier today.
The driver was on his way from Prai to the island when the accident happened at KM4.9 of the bridge in the 6.45am acicident.
Central Seberang Prai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Hamid said the car driver had lost control. The impact caused both to swerve to middle lane.
"The motorcyclist is in stable condition," he saidd.
The accident caused a bumper to bumper crawl on island and mainland .
