PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz today sought an audience with the Johor royalty to apologise for his ill-mannered behaviour in 2015 when he warned them to stay out of politics.
Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, said both he and his son, the Tunku Mahkota of Johor, accepted the tourism and culture minister's apology for using uncouth language.
In a statement by the Royal Press Office posted on the Sultan's Facebook page, the Sultan said it was normal for a human being to make mistakes, but that one should seek forgiveness upon realising the error.
"Don't let it cause disunity, especially as Malays, because we are a cultured race. If you have erred, seek an audience and ask for forgiveness.
"Whatever happened in the past, I have forgiven (Nazri) and Tunku Mahkota Johor (Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim) has also forgiven him," Sultan Ibrahim said.
