Pos Malaysia issues new stamp series

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) will be issuing a new series featuring Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad's Electronic Train System.
Pos Malaysia Stamp and Philately unit head, Diyana Lean Abdullah said the new stamp series will be available at all post offices nationwide beginning next Tuesday, March 20.
"There will be three stamps accompanying this series, each featuring the different class of the ETS locomotive.
"There will be two 60 sen stamps featuring the illustration of ETS Class 91 and Class 92 locomotives, whereas the last stamp will feature the ETS Class 93 locomotive," Diyana said during a press conference to unveil the stamps series.
Other philatelic products that come with the series include the First Day Cover (FDC) with a brochure, Miniature Sheet and Folder.
"There will only be 200,000 pieces of each stamp design available, 28,000 pieces of First Day cover, 30,000 pieces of Miniature Sheet and 1,800 pieces of folders available.
"Hence, we encourage all stamp collectors and the public to grab their copy immediately as there will be no reproduction of these collectables once sold out," she said.
She said the miniature sheet can be purchased at RM6.35 each, the FDCs with a free brochure are available at 55 sen each while the folder is priced at RM6.35 each.
"The complete folder set can be obtained at RM 64.65 each," she said.
