KANGAR: Incumbent Chan Ming Kai of the PKR will defend his Indera Kayangan state seat in the 14th general election, said Perlis Pakatan Harapan chairman Ameir Hassan.
He said the names of the candidates contesting the other 14 state seats and the three parliamentary seats would be announced on March 30.
The DAP, which is contesting only the Titi Tinggi state seat, had announced that Perlis DAP chairman Teh Seng Chuan will be the candidate.
Ameir told reporters here that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) would contest the Arau and Padang Besar parliamentary seats while PKR would contest the Kangar parliamentary seat.
As for the state seats, he said, PPBM would contest in Mata Air, Kayang, Pauh, Tambung Tulang and Guar Sanji and PKR in Chuping, Indera Kayangan, Kuala Perlis, Sena and Simpang Empat.
Parti Amanah Negara would contest in four seats, namely Beseri, Santan, Bintong and Sanglang, he said.
