PMO denies announcement of BN candidates for GE14 on April 2

KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) today denied the report in the local press that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak is expected to announce the candidates for the 14th General Election (GE14) for Barisan Nasional (BN) on April 2.
On the other hand, the statement uploaded via the social websites Facebook and Twitter clarified that the report was merely speculation by the media.
The report published today stated that the ceremony to announce the candidates by Najib, who is also BN chairman, would be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).
The ceremony would be attended by 13 senior leaders of the BN component parties. — Bernama
