Several roads in KL to close on Sunday for Le Tour de Langkawi

KUALA LUMPUR: Several main roads in the capital will be closed on Sunday in conjunction with the 2018 Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) cycling race which begins at 1.30pm before they are re-opened in stages at 4pm the same day.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department chief, ACP Zulkefly Yahya said the roads affected were Kampung Cheras Baru, Jalan Kuari, Jalan Lingkaran Tengah 2 (MRR2), Jalan Cheras, Jalan Tun HS Lee, Jalan Kinabalu, Masjid Negara and Jalan Sultan Ismail.
Other roads involved include Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja, Dataran Merdeka, Leboh Pasar Besar, Jalan Hang Lekiu, Jalan Tun Perak, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan P. Ramlee and Jalan Ampang, he said in a statement here today.
Therefore, Zulkefly advised motorists to plan their travel and use alternative roads, use public transport and always obey the traffic rules and instructions of the policemen on duty.
LTdL 2018 has eight stages across eight states with a total distance of 1,341km, having commenced in Kangar on March 18 and finishing in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. — Bernama
