OCK shares rise after announcing plans for telecom tower biz in the Philippines

    PETALING JAYA: OCK Group Bhd’s share price rose 0.62% this morning after it announced plans to enter the telecom tower business in the Philippines.
    At 11.02am, its share price was 0.62% or half sen higher at 80.5 sen, with a total of 14,000 shares traded. The stock gained 1.91% to close at 80 sen yesterday with 780,800 shares traded.
    Yesterday, the group said its subsidiary OCK Vietnam Towers Pte Ltd will work with ISOC Infrastructures, Inc to jointly pursue a telecom tower business in the Philippines.
    The group said the two parties will acquire, install, operate, maintain and manage telecom tower assets in the Philippines. It will also concentrate on the new towers roll-out or greenfield projects and potential sale-and-leaseback project from mobile telecom operators.
