Yang di-Pertuan Agong attends Royal Commissioning Parade

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong today attended the 2018 Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) Royal Commissioning Parade and presented letters of commission to Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) cadet officers at Perdana Camp, Sungai Besi here.
At the ceremony, Sultan Muhammad V handed over letters of commission to 334 Military Training Academy cadet officers who had completed their training for a period of four to five years for their Bachelor degrees at UPNM.
They comprised 212 Malaysian Army cadet officers, 73 Royal Malaysian Air Force cadre officers and 49 Royal Malaysian Navy cadet officers.
Cadet officer Muhammad Aiezad Azhar was awarded the Overall Best Academic Cadet Officer of the Military Training Academy at the ceremony.
Muhammad Aiezad, who holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, also received a Seri Perkasa trophy and a sword.
Also present at the ceremony were Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, ATM chief General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor and UPNM vice-chancellor General Tan Sri Zulkifli Zainal Abidin. — Bernama
