IPOH: Perak Barisan Nasional (BN) has dropped "non-performers" from their candidate list for the 14th general election.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir said the list has yet to be finalised, and there could be some last minute changes.
"Some decisions on the candidacy has been made and axing incumbents and bringing in new faces is a normal process.
"There are those who want to give way after serving for many years and we do not rule out the possibility of incumbent state elected representatives moving out to contest in parliament seats.
"There is no fighting over seats by the component parties but we are in the final process of fine-tuning.
Zambry who spoke to reporters after chairing the weekly exco meeting said he expects another meeting to be held before the polls.
Meanwhile, Perak BN deputy chairman Datuk Saarani Mohamad hit out at Pakatan Harapan for accusing BN of not having capable leaders.
"They are practising double standards in making such claims ... what about DAP leaders Lim Guan Eng, Nga Kor Ming and Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham who hold two seats.
"Is Pakatan Harapan pointing fingers at BN or PH ... it is a joke to make such statements.
"This goes to show the immaturity of the leaders who lack experience in the political arena," he added.
Saaraani who is also Perak Umno deputy chairman was commenting on a remark by Perak PH chairman Ahmad Faizal Azumu that BN does not have capable leaders to the extent that Zambry was slated to contest in two seats.
Zambry is speculated to contest for the Lumut parliament seat and defend the Pangkor state constituency.
