Man dies in crash into Penawar Toll Plaza concrete barrier

JOHOR BARU: A man was killed when he lost control of his Perodua Bezza car and crashed into the concrete barrier at the Penawar Toll Plaza, Senai-Desaru Highway, near Bandar Penawar, Kota Tinggi, today.
Kota Tinggi district police chief Supt Ahsmon Bajah said the 9.55 am incident caused Kan Yew Chun, 26, from Taman Daya, Johor Baru to sustain severe injuries and died at the scene.
"Initial investigation by the police found that the victim, who drove the Perodua Bezza car, was traveling from Bandar Penawar to Senai when he was believed to have lost control of the car before it crashed into the concrete barrier at the Penawar Toll Plaza," he said.
Ashmon said the body was sent to the Kota Tinggi Hospital for a post-mortem. — Bernama
