PUTRAJAYA: Barisan Nasional (BN) is not rattled by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) decision that all parties in the opposition pact will be contesting under the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) logo for the 14th General Election (GE14).
BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said what should be emphasised was that voters needed to know that it was just a tactic by the opposition to 'hide' the DAP, which had been increasingly rejected by the Malay community, behind the PKR logo.
"It's an outdated strategy, we know what they want to do, but we just want to remind the voters not to fall for it because under the PKR logo, there are DAP, Amanah and PPBM which are problematic.
"To confuse the people, the opposition parties tried to imitate the concept of the BN but they forget that the BN coalition has long existed, and the people also know that this coalition (BN) is using consensus-based decision-making," he told reporters at the 'Karnival Insan Istimewa', here today.
Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad made the announcement at an event in Taman Bukit Dahlia, Pasir Gudang, Johor last night. — Bernama
