Kedah BN makes police report over rotten eggs incident

ALOR STAR: The Kedah Barisan Nasional has lodged a police report after finding out that rotten eggs had been hurled onto a stage prepared for a political talk tonight at the Taman Derga Jaya public field here.
Its secretary, Datuk Md Rozai Shaifian, said the incident happened early today.
"We had to change the carpet on the stage. State Umno Information secretary Sohaimi Zinal Abidin made the report at the Kota Star Police headquarters at 1pm," he said in a statement.
Md Rozai said the incident would not affect the talk and the spirit of party members were not jeopardised by the incident, and that he had called on all party premises to step up security to avert such incidents.
The talk at 9pm today on 'Reject the Pact of Hypocrisy' will be attended by Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah and Umno Information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
