PETALING JAYA: Engineering services provider Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has started construction of its Pengerang Eco Industrial Park (PEIP) project with Perisind Samudra Sdn Bhd at an estimated cost of RM1 billion.
The eco industrial park project is part of Serba Dinamik’s total development of 62 acres of land comprising the PEIP and Pengerang International Commercial Centre PICC.
PEIP involves the development of Malaysia’s first maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) Global Centre of Excellence, a Plant Turnaround Village, and a technical and vocational education and training (TVET) City.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held today.
Serba Dinamik managing director and CEO Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said as part of the group’s intention to provide a world-class one-stop centre specialising in MRO of rotating equipment, PEIP will incorporate a Plant Turnaround Village across an estimated 15 acres of land, which is complementary to the MRO and the IRM Global Centre of Excellence.
“The Plant Turnaround Village will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and facilities, which will be utilised as diagnostic devices to detect any defects at an early stage to ensure continuous safe operation of equipment and structures, and to improve operational efficiency,” he added.
On Bursa Malaysia today, Serba Dinamik rose 12 sen or 4.2% to RM3 with some 3.25 million shares traded.
