Car salesman fined for cheating Pakistani

KUALA LUMPUR: A car salesman was fined RM8,000 by the Magistrate's Court here today for cheating a Pakistani man involving a car sale, four years ago.
Mohd Khairul Farhan Ismail, 34, admitted cheating Abid Khan Attai Khan, 37, of RM4,000 in the purchase of a Naza Sutera based on a 'continue loan' agreement at Syarikat Cinta Impian Mekar Enterprise, Lot 1, Persiaran Pandan 9, Pandan Jaya here, at 8pm on March 26, 2014.
Magistrate Haslinda A. Raof ordered that Mohd Khairul Farhan be sent to prison for 20 months should he fail to pay the fine.
According to the facts of the case presented by deputy public prosecutor Raihanah Abdul Razak, the victim continued paying the monthly instalments to the bank and after completing the payment contacted the salesman about the ownership transfer.
However, Mohd Khairul Farhan could not be contacted and did not do anything about the ownership transfer prompting the victim to lodge a police report. — Bernama
