Use of common logo for GE14 well received: Loke

PETALING JAYA: For any organisation, in particular, a political party, to change their symbol makes it difficult for supporters to get used to, said Kepong MP Dr Tan Seng Giaw.
He said to all of a sudden make such a change would create a strange feeling among supporters, and this applies to anything including businesses.
He was responding to report in a local newspaper that claimed he had criticised DAP over the use of a common logo in the forthcoming elections.
He added that the change of symbol by DAP for the General Election may end up creating an unusual and uneasy feeling among its supporters.
DAP organising secretary Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the use of a common logo for the upcoming election has been well received by the party's supporters.
"There was a need for a common logo for this General Election. This is the first time that all Pakatan Harapan parties will be fielding candidates using a common logo," Loke said.
He said DAP had explained the rationale and reasons behind the decision to use a common logo.
The Seremban MP added that all the party's supporters and leaders understand and have accepted the decision to use a common logo.
He stressed the party has not changed its logo and it is only using a common logo for the general election.
