Datasonic shares jump 5.82% on new contract

    PETALING JAYA: Datasonic Group Bhd's share price continued to rise by 5.5 sen or 5.82% this morning, after it bagged a RM270.7 million contract from the Home Affairs Ministry last Friday.
    As at 10.38am, the stock stood at RM1 with 3.92 million shares changing hands, bringing its market capitalisation to RM1.3 billion.
    The 46-month contract is for the supply of 9.96 million polycarbonate biodata pages to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
    The group expects the contract to contribute positively towards its future earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2018 and the financial years thereafter for the duration of the contract.
