Crewman missing in oil drilling vessel fire

MIRI: An offshore oil and gas drilling vessel, Ocean Geos, caught fire near Baram in the South China Sea today.
One of the 39 crewmen went missing after the fire broke out.
It is learnt that in the 3am incident, an explosion occurred in the ship's engine room which led to the fire.
A search and rescue operation is underway to find the missing Malaysian crewman, said the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency Miri chief Mohd Fauzi Othman.
Ocean Geos is owned by a Kuala Lumpur-based company which is a subcontractor of Petronas.
There were 39 workers on board comprising 33 Malaysians, five Indonesians and a Thai national.
They jumped off the ship during the fire.
The ship was five nautical miles (9.3km) from Miri.
