BATU PAHAT: The Johor government plans to build Johor Islamic Corporation (PIJ) dialysis centres in 56 state constituencies through a collaboration between PIJ and the Johor Islamic Religious Council.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said, however, the plan to build the centres which would provide dialysis treatment at a cost of RM180 per session could only be realised if Barisan Nasional (BN) continued to be given the mandate to administer the state in the 14th General Election (GE14).
"(Normally) In other dialysis centres, patients have to pay a fee of RM240 for each dialysis treatment session but at the PIJ dialysis centre, they only have to pay RM180. To date, we already have two (dialysis centres) namely in Taman Rinting near Pasir Gudang and in Ayer Hitam, Batu Pahat.
"We will build three more dialysis centres in Labis, Pagoh and Kluang. This is in line with the GE14 manifesto, for which we will ensure that each state constituency has its own dialysis centre," he told reporters after officiating the PIJ dialysis centre and the Johor Waqaf Fund Entrepreneur Loan Scheme in Ayer Hitam here today.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Khaled said the loan scheme was launched to help Muslims entrepreneurs increase their capital as well as expand their business. — Bernama
