PUTRAJAYA: A federal Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director lodged a police report on Sunday after he received a round of ammunition and threat note on Sunday.
It is learnt that the threat was sent to the home of the director who handles high profile cases investigated by the MACC.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Seri Azam Baki said yesterday that the commission believed that the threat could be linked to several high profile cases probed by the MACC recently.
"We urge the police to investigate and trace the person behind this threat. We at the MACC will never bow down to such threats and will continue our role without fear." he said.
Selangor police chief Commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor said yesterday police have received two reports on the case.
He said a task force has been formed to investigate the reports and urged those with information on the case to come forward and assist police.
Mazlan also said the public should refrain from making speculations on the case.
