Nada officers arrest political party youth leader for testing positive for meth

PETALING JAYA: A youth leader from a political party in Hulu Selangor was arrested after he tested positive for methamphetamine at his house in Kampung Tengah, Batang Kali last Saturday.
The man in his 30's was detained at 2.15am by a team of officers from the National Anti-Drug Agency (Nada) after a tip off from members of the public.
Sources from the Nada Hulu Selangor office said that the man's house was raided and he was brought to Nada offices to carry out preliminary urine tests.
"As a result of the information we received, we made a raid at his house and arrested him, when we took him to our offices to carry out initial screening, his urine sample tested positive for methampethamine," he said.
He said that the suspect was remanded for 14 days until April 27.
