Selangor Pakatan finalises seat allocations

KLANG: Pakatan Harapan (PH) has finally settled its seat allocations for all its component parties for the state of Selangor, yesterday after months of ongoing negotiations.
The decision was finalised following a meeting between Selangor Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Selangor DAP chairman Tony Pua, Selangor Amanah chairman Izham Hashim and Selangor PPBM leadership head Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari.
"Selangor PH has reached a consensus, finalising the distribution of the Selangor state assembly seats to provide the best service to realise the aspirations of the people of Selangor.
"We are confident that unity among leaders and members of Selangor Pakatan Harapan will propel the support of the people to maintain the Pakatan Harapan administration in the Selangor state government which would continue the economic development and its people first agenda.
"Selangor Pakatan Harapan will now focus fully on election work and strengthen the Pakatan Harapan machinery throughout Selangor by placing credible and committed candidates to serve and devote themselves to the state and the people.
"Selangor Pakatan Harapan is confident that the people of Selangor will be united and give (us) solid support in the state," they said in a joint-statement, today.
According to a credible source within the Pakatan Harapan fold, from the 56 state seats, PKR is expected to contest 21 seats with DAP contesting 16, Amanah 10 and PPBM nine.
A formal announcement on the candidates, said the source who wished to remain anonymous, could be made as early as tonight by Mohamed Azmin.
